池上，稻米之鄉，春夏時這裡綠油油的一片，秋天時金黃飽滿的稻穗搖曳，冬天時收割完畢，農民種滿油菜花，讓整片稻田閃耀金色的光芒。這條筆直的道路原本就因為是伯朗咖啡的廣告拍攝地而遠近馳名，甚至從此名為「伯朗大道」，後來金城武來此拍攝廣告，更加的出名，因此遊客絡繹不絕。

為了發展觀光，政府鼓勵農民種上油菜花，並且把伯朗大道所有電線杆移除，才造就了有天堂之路的美名，許多遊客搭著連結三輪車，飽覽此地。

油菜也是一種可食用的植物，但開花後會苦澀，所以在油菜花含苞待放前採收，將梗的外層剝除，就可做出好吃的料理。
